Following the inspection of the erosion sites in Calabar, Cross River State by Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong on Saturday, 15th July, 2023.
Distinguished Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong moved a people - oriented motion on Tuesday, 18th July, 2023 for the inclusion of Nassarawa and Ikot Nkebre communities of Calabar Municipal for Federal Government emergency intervention against erosion degradation currently ravaging the communities.
The motion was unanimously adopted and included for urgent transmission to the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Federal Ministry of Environment and the Ecological Fund Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for immediate action.
